PEAK DISTRICT a landscape guide

Chatsworth Exhibition - July to October 2009

Captured during the last three years, during Dunn’s exploration of the Peak District, this series of large format photographs offer a glimpse of the majesty of landscapes to be discovered in this region. Mounted on aluminium and up to 60"x40", the sheer size of each image absorbs the viewer creating a wonderful experience of the great beauty of this spectacular National Park. Considered together they reflect the great diversity and stunning wild allure of the Peak District along with man’s influence, which has shaped this much-loved landscape over countless centuries.

With a passion for landscape photography Dunn has persevered throughout the seasons and the Peak’s dramatic weather variations, striving to capture these scenes with the often elusive light that they deserve.

The photographs in this exhibition have been taken and processed using the latest digital equipment, enabling the production of strikingly large photographic prints. Without digitally altering the imagery the end result is a traditional and faithful re-creation of the landscape as it was seen by the naked eye.
